Falling in love.

Life is funny. Not in the ha-ha sense, but in the sense where you just can't help but let your lips tip up just the slightest. It's so diverse, so rich, so......much and one lifetime feels such a short time to cover it all up. How do you do it? How do you manage to see every nook and corner of this world, learn their stories, see the beauty, the ruins. Learn how that beauty come by, how did the establishment dilapidate? How? Why? Where? When? How do you do fit all of it in this small time frame. So unfair.

I want to learn about its people. What does that one garland maker think when he pins the small bela on the thread, slipping it through the needle. What is his story? Does he have a wife? Children? Parents? Does he have enough food? Is everyone in his family happy? Naughtier questions like, did he ever fall in love? Does he make one of these garlands for his wife to adorn her hair? So much to ask, so much to be answered.

Falling in love is so much more than finding one person to love for the rest of your life. It is finding a person who is willing to find things to fall in love with for the rest of your life. It is true people make your life memorable, but I believe, it is the memories with those people that make your life complete.

I wish to fall in love with myself, come to appreciate the colours, adore the silence, breathe the air, calmer, sit on dirty pavements, just to watch the sunset, because it looks the prettiest from that spot.

But I also wish to visit that one tucked away bouquet stall, see the eager man's smile when he sees me approaching to buy from him, and buy his freshly plucked flowers. To hear the tea stall owner who tells me about how he makes his samosas taste so delicious, his technique, his secrets that he so willingly shares.

It's beautiful to love, drown yourself in it. Love someone else, Love yourself, Love this life. This life is too short to not love, to run, to chase things you think would make you happy. 10 years down the line, you may appreciate you sacrificing your TV time for an extra chapter, but you will love to remember that one day you spent in a cheap mela with your friends, buying ₹10 cola candies.

And I, want to fall in love like this.
